Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the Charente Maritime

In our own small village we are lucky enough to have a Gourmet restaurant ‘Les Moulins Des Saules’, which has a fantastic reputation with clientele coming from far and wide. A short drive or cycle away is the small village of Antezant which has a park and bar/restaurant as well as fishing on the river ‘Boutonne’.

We are well situated in the Charente Maritime for access to many beautiful and interesting places to visit. The nearest town is St Jean D’Angely (10km) which offers all main amenities including supermarket, shops, bars and restaurants.

There is also a large park which offers boating, canoeing, football and large playground. At the edge of the park you will find Atlantis, as the name suggests this is a water based fun centre.  It boasts an eight lane swimming pool, fun pool, diving pool, toboggan slide and a number of baby pools. You can also enjoy their sauna, fitness centre and sun terrace (loungers provided).

There are several airports within a short drive to Benella; La Rochelle (50 mins), Poitier (1hr 15 mins), Bordeaux (1 hr 40 mins), Limoges (2 hrs 15 mins), Angouleme (1 hr 30 mins) and Nantes (2 hrs 15 mins).

For those travelling by sea, the port of Calais is 6 hr 30 mins drive, Le Havre is 5 hrs away, Caen is 4 hrs 30 mins and St Malo is 4 hours away.

The TGV runs into Niort and La Rochelle and stops at Surgeres, which is a 30 min drive away.
